20 MAR 2004 - 160 LIFE TV (and VISION - Sat/Sun mornings)
As from 23rd march LIFE TV and VISION CHANNEL are benefiting from exciting new EPG changes to its channels on SKY Digital Satellite TV. VISION Channel has its platform on Life TV every Saturday and Sunday mornings. This means that LIFE TV (and VISION - Sat/Sun mornings) will be moving from EPG channel 202 to the new EPG channel location 160.
30 JAN 2004 - UCB TV
United Christian Broadcasters Limited (UCB), one of the UK's leading Christian ministries based in Stoke-on-Trent, today announces the official 'on air' launch of UCB TV to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Test transmissions have been broadcast by UCB since the 1st December 2003. Much of the programming on UCB TV has never been seen on UK Christian television before, nor is it being seen anywhere else.
John Green, UCB's TV Broadcasting Manager, expands on this: 'Christian television throughout Europe has tended to be saturated with programming drawn from a narrow denominational base. Some evangelical churches have been unable to present the gospel as they would like, others have waited until the right platform arrived, one that they could align themselves with. UCB TV is that platform, a Christian television station thoroughly committed to reaching the people of the UK and Ireland with the gospel message.'
Paid programming and selective advertising mean that UCB TV will become self-funding.
Ian Mackie, UCB's Chief Executive Officer says: 'UCB TV is unique because we have adopted a 'Commonwealth' programming model, broadcasting television programmes which have been developed specifically for UK and Ireland audiences. This announcement is the first of several we are planning to make this year. UCB's vision is for 2004 is centred around our desire to support revival of faith in the UK and Ireland and to take full advantage of the opportunity we have to exploit new media freedoms.'

Many of you have been making inquiries about UCB TV on EPG 677, the new Christian TV station, that started to appear out of nowhere at the beginning of Dec 03 on your Sat TV screens. Well after speaking to Brian Bennett, head of marketing at UCB TV, I can report that what you have been seeing is trial broadcasts working towards their actual official launch date, which they are planning for 1 February 2004.
